Job summary

WM (Waste Management) seeks an on-site operations professional to direct activities at a client location related to storage, transport, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and safety standards. You will coordinate personnel and serve as the liaison with vendors for service and contract issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in environmental sciences, accounting, business or related field.
• High School Diploma plus 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience beyond education requirement.
• HAZWOPER Certification upon hire is required.
• RCRA and DOT regulatory compliance experience upon hire.
• OSHA 24-Hour Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate onsite logistics for hazardous and non-hazardous waste transportation and disposal.
• Consult with client to identify cost-saving opportunities and proposals.
• Ensure compliance with regulations through inspections and reporting.
• Administer client and vendor financial obligations including invoicing and contracts.
• Promote safety training and regulatory compliance among site personnel.
• May perform labor-intensive tasks such as drum collection and bulking.

Education

Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Environmental Sciences, Accounting, Business or related field, or in lieu of degree

High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience.

2 years of relevant work experience (in addition to the education requirement)

HAZWOPER Certification upon hire

RCRA and DOT regulatory compliance experience upon hire
