Job summary

WM (Waste Management) seeks a leader to manage the day-to-day operations of a hazardous waste disposal facility, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance. The role oversees budgeting, staffing, and continuous improvement of operational performance.

Responsibilities include coordinating emergency responses, reducing truck turnarounds, tracking waste metrics, and maintaining permits and safety programs. On-site leadership and strong regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience.
• 7 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensures smooth 24/7 operation of the hazardous waste disposal facility.
• Minimizes operational costs while maintaining safety and environmental compliance.
• Works to reduce turnaround time for trucks in and out of site.
• Accurately tracks waste volume and weight.
• Coordinates emergency response operations as Emergency Coordinator when needed.
• Ensures adherence to WM's safety and environmental policies and training.
