Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Occupational Safety, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of hazardous waste management and regulatory compliance experience.
• Knowledge of EPA, RCRA, DOT, OSHA regulations; waste profiling and manifesting.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and staff training abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office and waste tracking/compliance systems.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day hazardous waste operations including identification, labeling, packaging and shipping.
• Ensure compliance with EPA, RCRA, DOT and OSHA requirements.
• Prepare and maintain waste profiles, manifests and regulatory documentation.
• Manage relationships with TSDFs, transporters and vendors; conduct performance reviews.
• Develop and maintain hazardous waste management plans and SOPs.
• Lead internal audits, inspections and staff training on hazmat and emergency response.
• Support regulatory reporting, recordkeeping and waste minimization efforts.
• Collaborate with operations, transportation, sales and customer service to ensure safe service delivery.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and waste minimization; investigate incidents and corrective actions.
