Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks a Waste Processing Team Lead to oversee a team of Environmental Technicians responsible for consolidating, treating, storing and disposing of hazardous waste in line with policies and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes training, accuracy in record-keeping, and the ability to work independently on safety-focused operations, with site-specific duties evolving by location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years hazardous waste experience preferred.
• 40 hours OSHA training with 8-hour refresher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Segregate and package material for transport with proper paperwork.
• Oversee technicians on large projects from receipt to settlement.
• Collect samples and perform onsite testing for unknown materials.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local permit requirements.
• Train technicians on equipment operation, processes and paperwork.
