Job summary

Veolia, in partnership with Clean Earth’s team, seeks a Service Manager to oversee safety, compliance, and operations at a hazardous waste facility in North America. The role drives regulatory adherence, revenue and budget targets, and staff development while coordinating with Sales, Customer Service, and Health & Safety teams.

Responsibilities include leading production crews, monitoring schedules, ensuring permit compliance, training staff, and coordinating incident responses.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a DEA background check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to wear PPE including eye protection, foot protection, hard hat, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in hazardous waste industry.
• Minimum of 3 years’ management experience.

Responsibilities

• Assigns work to production crews and supervises their activities throughout the shift.
• Audits crews’ performance for quality, quantity, safety conformance and utilization of resources.
• Continuously improve health, safety and environmental performance.
• Manage staff in cooperation with HR including onboarding and career development.
• Monitor production schedules and coordinate work between shifts.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and facility operating permits.
• Develop waste profile sheets and coordinate outgoing loads.
