Job summary

Veolia North America seeks a Laborer to perform routine hazardous and non-hazardous waste tasks, moving solids and liquids under supervision. You will assist with loading/unloading containers, decontamination, and related paperwork to ensure compliant processing at site or transport facilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 3 to 6 months experience in hazardous waste or chemical industry preferred.
• Proficiency in handling forklifts and a variety of tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload containers (totes, drums, tankers, trailers).
• Construct boxes and load containers.
• Use tools such as impact wrenches, shovels, jackhammers.
• Transport hazardous waste between storage facilities.
• Decontaminate and dispose of empty drums per guidelines (RCRA).
• Assist with paperwork for processing materials and transportation.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Inspect material handling equipment.
• Assist in loading/unloading hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Other duties as assigned.
