Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking a Waste Technician to perform routine hazardous and non-hazardous waste tasks, move and process waste containers, and follow procedures in a fast-paced facility in Greer, South Carolina.

The shift is Monday through Friday, Noon to 8:40 p.m. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 9–12 months of general labor experience; forklift experience is preferred; strong reading and writing skills are required to document and track materials.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 9 to 12 months general labor experience.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures & processes in waste handling.
• Recognize container sizes/types and labels/markings.
• Load and unload containers using mechanical or manual methods.
• Operate equipment and assist in transferring hazardous/non-hazardous waste securely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
