Job summary

A leading environmental company in Amelia, Texas, is seeking a laboratory technician to prepare and analyze hazardous waste samples. Responsibilities include following quality assurance protocols, conducting sample analysis, and maintaining laboratory equipment. Candidates should possess at least a high school diploma, with preference given to those having an AA degree in chemistry or relevant experience. Additional qualifications include strong communication skills and a customer service orientation. The position offers comprehensive benefits and requires 24-hour HAZWOPER training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of AA degree in Chemistry or equivalent laboratory experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in science discipline with a working knowledge of Chemistry preferred.
• 24-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and analysis of hazardous waste samples using standard methods.
• Conduct login procedures of samples delivered to the laboratory.
• Sub-sample a variety of waste materials and ensure proper analytical methods.
• Ensure proper documentation of all test results including QA/QC.
• Maintain analytical equipment and documentation for quality compliance.
