Veolia in North America is seeking a hazardous waste technician to perform specialized hazard determination and consolidation of chemical waste materials. The role includes testing, consolidation, packaging, spill response, labeling, and coordination of transportation while following state and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, and safety training.

Responsabilidades

• Sample waste streams according to prescribed policies and procedures.
• Manually open, unpack, and consolidate containers of hazardous materials.
• Test, consolidate, and provide spill cleanup and remedial activities, labeling, loading/unloading, and logistics coordination for hazardous materials.
• Assist in loading/unloading of hazardous waste materials at fixed facility sites using equipment such as drum dollies and forklifts.
• Comply with DOT/EPA and Veolia Environmental Services policies.
• Operate and maintain equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.
