Job summary

Veolia North America seeks a laboratory technician to perform hazardous waste sample preparation and analysis using EPA/ASTM methods in an afternoon shift. You will maintain QA/QC, document results, prepare reagents, and support instrument maintenance in a lab/ops environment; OSHA HAZWOPER training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• AA degree in Chemistry or equivalent laboratory experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in science discipline preferred.
• 24-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct login procedures for samples and ensure proper labeling and paperwork.
• Sub-sample waste materials and process/product samples following established analytical methods.
• Perform sample analysis and QA/OC calibrations.
• Document all test results and QA/QC data, notifying supervisor when analysis is complete.
• Prepare reagent solutions, standards, and lab solutions as directed.
• Maintain analytical equipment and laboratory documents for QA/QC compliance.
• Compile and report analysis data and QA/QC information for review by staff.
• Audit analytical logs for regulatory compliance and completeness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
