Job summary

Duncan Aviation in Battle Creek, Michigan, is seeking a Hazardous Waste/Materials Handling Specialist to monitor, package, label and transport all of the company\'s hazardous wastes and materials for disposal at the facility in accordance with Duncan Aviation approved procedures.

In addition, this position assists with containment and clean-up of hazardous wastes and materials spills and assists facility maintenance with cleaning, repairs and snow removal as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• At least 1 year experience with hazardous waste/materials.
• Current Hazardous Material Handler Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and label hazardous waste and materials.
• Package and transport waste per DOT and EPA regulations.
• Assist with containment and clean-up of spills.
• Maintain inventory and cleanliness of chemical building.
• Conduct recycling and minimization of non-disposable materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
