Job summary

Boeing in Moses Lake, WA is seeking an Environmental Control Technician A to manage hazardous-materials and hazardous-waste operations, ensure regulatory compliance and safety, and support environmental protection initiatives.

The role includes overseeing material storage, disposal, and documentation, performing TPM on related equipment, and coordinating with environmental engineers and shop personnel on process improvements. This is an onsite, first-shift position.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience handling chemicals and/or hazardous material.
• Experience operating a forklift and electric pallet jacks.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Currently possess a valid driver’s license.
• Currently hold or ability to obtain a forklift license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assign technicians based on priorities and regulatory requirements.
• Order, receive, log, and verify hazardous materials.
• Issue, deliver, and record chemicals to control points and use points.
• Store hazardous materials and monitor for degradation and temperature sensitivity.
• Manage hazardous-waste receiving/collection and proper disposal.
• Prepare hazardous waste manifests and regulatory documentation.
• Perform sampling/testing of hazardous wastes for classification and disposal.
• Operate dispensing equipment and optimize inventory usage.
• Maintain inventories and conduct periodic accuracy checks.
• Respond to hazardous-material spill calls and support cleanup operations.
