Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking an Environmental Technician to consolidate, treat, store, pack, transport and/or dispose of hazardous waste in compliance with environmental regulations. Responsibilities include maintaining detailed records and performing site tasks as required.

The role requires 2+ years of hazardous materials experience, ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and the willingness to wear full PPE. Starting pay is competitive and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience working with hazardous materials.
• Ability to operate equipment, including a forklift and pallet jack.
• Visual acuity to read labels and documentation; depth perception to safely drive forklifts.
• Ability to work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled environments.
• Willingness to wear company PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator.

Responsibilities

• Industrial cleaning/Pressure washing, Wastewater treatment, Spill response, facility services.
• Complete required documentation accurately, timely and legibly in accordance with applicable regulations and customer policies, practices and procedures.
• Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
