Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks an Environmental Technician to join a team that handles hazardous materials and ensures compliant waste management. Training on environmental regulations will be provided, with forklift and equipment operation as part of daily tasks.

You will lift up to 50 pounds, wear PPE, and work in varied outdoor/indoor environments, contributing to documentation and safe handling of waste streams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 pounds throughout the workday.
• Ability to stand and walk on uneven surfaces for extended periods.
• Visual and depth perception for safe operation of equipment.
• Willingness to wear PPE and work outdoors in all conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in consolidating, treating, storing, transporting and/or disposing of hazardous waste per regulations.
• Operate forklifts and related equipment to move containers between areas and trailers.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Work outdoors and indoors, following safety policies and customer procedures.
