Job summary

The Waste Technician at The Chemico Group in Phoenix oversees chemical and hazardous waste management operations, ensuring DOT, RCRA, HAZWOPER training compliance, container labeling, transport preparation, and on-site inspections.

You will maintain storage areas, manage inventory via CMIS, coordinate weekly/daily inspections, and support client reporting while upholding safety and regulatory standards in a demanding industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold current and valid licenses for hazardous waste management.
• Must possess or be able to obtain RCRA/DOT and HAZWOPER certifications.
• Knowledge of waste storage, labeling, transport, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Enter stocking transactions in CMIS and prepare materials for transport.
• Conduct weekly inspections of storage areas and satellite accumulation sites.
• Label containers for accumulation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste per regulations.
• Load trucks for hazardous and non-hazardous waste shipments and ensure DOT packaging requirements.
