Job summary

The Chemico Group is seeking a Waste Technician in San Diego to oversee chemical and hazardous waste operations per the SOW. You will stock chemicals, manage CMIS and ERP transactions, prepare reports, and ensure shipments comply with DOT and regulatory requirements on site.

You will support safety programs, maintain SDS records, interact with client personnel, and help drive cost efficiency while meeting strict deadlines in a large industrial facility.

Qualifications

• Current and valid licenses.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Regulatory knowledge of federal and state hazardous waste management rules.
• Must possess or be able to obtain RCRA/DOT and HAZWOPER certifications.

Responsibilities

• Stock chemicals and manage stock based on client process requirements.
• Enter all stocking and transactions in CMIS software.
• Place orders and receive orders in CMIS and ERP systems.
• Prepare usage and chemical use tracking reports from ERP and CMIS.
• Conduct weekly inspections of chemical storage areas and satellite accumulation areas.
• Maintain the Chemical Approval and SDS website for client.
