Job summary

CLOVEHITCH is seeking qualified on-site interpreters to provide professional in-person interpretation services across the Hawaiian Islands. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate communication between clients and staff, adhering to professional ethics, and providing services at various client sites.

The ideal candidate will have working proficiency in English and at least one target language, with preference for those experienced in legal or healthcare settings. This is an independent contractor position, so candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Experience providing in-person interpretation in legal, healthcare or social services preferred.
• Knowledge of interpreter ethics including confidentiality and impartiality.
• Familiarity with culturally relevant terminology in Pacific Islander communities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation between clients and staff.
• Ensure complete and impartial communication.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
