Laukoa is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on federal construction projects throughout Hawaii. The role emphasizes safe, on-time, within-budget delivery with strict adherence to UFC, EM 385-1-1, and contract requirements.

The ideal candidate will bring a proven field leadership background, extensive federal project experience, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, including government clients, subcontractors, and project teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction superintendent experience.
• 5+ years managing federal construction projects (USACE, NAVFAC, GSA).
• Projects valued between $5 million and $50 million.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and contracts.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain installation access.

Responsibilities

• Direct on-site construction activities from mobilization through closeout.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
• Develop and manage project schedules with short-term look-ahead plans.
• Ensure work complies with contract documents, UFC, EM 385-1-1, codes and regulations.
• Lead safety efforts and maintain a proactive safety culture.
• Conduct regular coordination meetings and safety briefings.
• Identify and resolve field conflicts and schedule impacts.
