Job summary

Kirschner Contractors is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead assigned projects at Hawaii-based sites and offices. You will serve as the primary interface with owners, agencies, and designers, directing field staff and coordinating with controls and scheduling teams to meet project goals.

Responsibilities include contract administration, QA/QC, safety leadership, and proactive risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.), Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive construction experience, with 3–5 years in CM/owner’s rep/PM roles.
• Experience managing projects full lifecycle: schedule, budget, contract administration.
• Knowledge of CM methods and project delivery (CM, Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build).
• Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with scheduling software is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage assigned projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Serve as primary client interface with owners, agencies, designers, and contractors.
• Oversee schedule development, updates, and recovery; coordinate with project controls.
• Monitor budget, costs, and forecasts; support cost control and change management.
• Administer contracts, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay apps, and claims support.
• Direct field staff and coordinate daily activities.
• Ensure QA/QC processes are implemented and documented.
• Promote site safety in line with project and regulatory requirements.
• Lead or participate in progress, coordination, and partnering meetings.
• Identify risks early and develop mitigation strategies.
