Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Haul Truck Driver at our Olathe Quarry to safely operate heavy equipment and move material within the plant. You will work with a team to keep operations moving and meet production goals.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, performing basic maintenance, following safety procedures, and loading materials in accordance with safety requirements. A valid driver's license and high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Bulldozer and excavator experience.
• 1+ years related experience.
• Knowledge of MSHA regulations.

Pay: $23-$26 an hour

Hours: 6am - 6pm Monday - Friday

JOB SUMMARY

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Haul Truck Driver at our Olathe Quarry in Olathe, MO. This position is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to move material within the plant.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participate in safety programs and trainings, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
• Work in a team environment
• Clean work areas
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Proper wear of personal protective equipment
• Notify supervisors of repairs needed
• Ensure materials are properly loaded according to safety requirements
• Assist in plant maintenance and repairs
• Perform duties with minimum supervision

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Bulldozer and excavator experience
• 1 + years related experience
• Valid US driver's license

Skills:

• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of MSHA regulations
• Effective verbal communication
• Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance

Physical Abilities

• Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
• General physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reach with hands and arms, and handling material
