Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a motivated Surface Haul Truck Driver to join our Kansas Portable Team. Based out of Leavenworth, KS, you will operate a variety of heavy equipment, including haul trucks, to move raw materials from pits to plants safely and efficiently at maximum loading capacity.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to learn. Travel to nearby locations such as Onaga, St.

Qualifications

• Experience appreciated but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate haul truck and other mobile equipment as needed.
• Assist with plant repairs and cleanup.
• Perform pre-shift inspections on equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and report repairs.
• Maintain good housekeeping of equipment.
• Adhere to MSHA and plant safety rules.
• Work with minimal supervision.

Surface Haul Truck Driver

Martin Mariettais currently looking for a motivated individual to join our Kansas Portable Team. This position will have the opportunity to operate a variety of heavy equipment to include haul truck, motor grader, water truck, etc. to bring raw materials from pit to plant in a safe and efficient manner at maximum loading capacity.

This position will be based out of Leavenworth, KS but will travel around to locations near Onaga, St. Mary’s and Soldier Kansas to produce aggregate at those locations.

Essential Functions

• Must be able to or willing to learn to operate all other mobile equipment, including: haul truck, motor grader, water truck, loader and crane
• Assist in plant repairs and clean-up
• Perform pre-shift safety inspection on equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and service mobile equipment. Report needed repairs to shop personnel
• Responsible for good housekeeping of equipment
• Adhere to MSHA and plant safety rules and regulations
• Perform duties with minimum supervision

Minimum Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Must have a vaild driver's license
• Experience is a plus but will train the right candidate
• Bi-Lingual is a plus

Working Conditions

Larger equipment is typically air conditioned. There will be times when outside assignments that may require periods of work in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet or dry. May have exposure to dust, sand, gravel, diesel exhaust, etc.
