Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Hatchery Labor team member in Russellville, AL. You will handle eggs, monitor incubation, assist with hatching, and perform quality checks to ensure animal care and biosecurity standards are met.

The role requires following strict safety protocols and working in a fast-paced environment with a team. Responsibilities include data recording, equipment cleaning, and assisting with vaccination and transport prep.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Poultry or food industry experience is a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle and set eggs in incubators per procedures.
• Monitor incubation conditions (temp, humidity, ventilation).
• Assist with chick hatching and transfer.
• Perform quality checks on eggs and chicks for health and biosecurity.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas.
• Follow biosecurity and animal welfare protocols.
• Record data on egg counts, hatch rates, and chick quality.
• Assist with chick vaccination and transport prep.
