Job summary

Bell and Evans is seeking a Hatchery Supervisor for 1st shift to oversee daily hatchery operations, manage hourly staff, and ensure product quality and compliance with GMP/SSOP and HACCP standards. The role emphasizes team leadership, safety, and productivity in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include prioritizing production needs, coordinating with supervisors, training staff, and controlling OT, waste, and yields to meet department goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS Diploma or equivalent.
• College preferred but not required.
• Experience in a leadership role or demonstrated ability to function as an effective leader.
• Ability to read and utilize data provided from production reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day to day operations of the department and hourly staff to meet quality, safety, and productivity goals.
• Communicate priorities and production needs to staff; coordinate with other supervisors to ensure objectives are met.
• Train and develop team members; select and discipline staff per policy and handbook.
• Control overtime, waste, yields, and order fill to meet department goals.
• Ensure safety, GMP/SSOP and HACCP standards are followed in all operations.
