Job summary

Select Genetics, a leading poultry genetics company, is hiring a Service Room Supervisor to oversee the Service Room team and ensure daily operations run efficiently. You will calibrate machines, review medicine orders, and ensure readiness of PSP and MCP machines at start of day, while maintaining biosecurity and safety standards.

The role requires supervising up to 40 employees, training staff, performing quality checks on poults, and keeping a clean, safe work environment in a high-humidity,

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• US work eligibility; must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Experience with animals or in a hatchery is a plus.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Able to communicate verbally and listen; Spanish-speaking ability desired.
• Able to work under pressure and in a team; PPE required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Service Room employees and ensure work meets company standards.
• Calibrate and set up machines at the beginning of the day.
• Check medicine orders and ensure PSP/MCP machines are ready for use.
• Perform quality control analysis on poults labeled defective by machines.
• Assist in cleaning the medicine room and service room.
• Repair machines if capable.
• Train employees to perform duties accurately and timely.
• Lead and supervise up to 40 employees to maximize hatchery output.
• Complete quality control checks on poults; maintain a clean and safe work environment.
