Cobb is hiring a Hatchery Worker (Pull Crew) 3rd shift at the Wadesboro Hatchery, NC. The role involves inspecting chicks, pulling and boxing for processing, and maintaining cleanliness of hatchery areas.

Work hours are Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday nights with holiday coverage, typically ~40 hours per week. Starting pay is $18.00 per hour with additional differential for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no gaps greater than 6 months in past 36 months.
• Rehire criteria: maximum 3 prior Cobb/Tyson Foods employments.
• Must reside in the United States to be considered for in-person interview.

Responsibilities

• Pull chicks and operate chick counter; manage tray washer; move chick boxes to belt; dispose of substandard chicks; sanitize trays and hatchery equipment.
• Operate box washer and maintain cleanliness of hatchery areas.
• Clean chick holding room and monitor temps in hatchers/setters; pad chick boxes; keep work area organized.
• Observe safety protocols; follow biosecurity guidelines; sign required agreements on biosecurity/animal welfare.
• TSA: agree to Security Threat Assessment; jobsite biosecure; showering and changing clothing before entry.
• Other duties may be assigned as production needs change.
