Cobb in Wadesboro, NC, is seeking a Hatchery Worker (Pull Crew) 3rd shift to inspect chicks, pull them for processing, and keep hatchery areas clean and compliant with biosecurity rules. The role requires physical endurance and adherence to safety standards in a biosecure environment.

The position offers a starting pay of $18.00 per hour, with additional shift differential for evenings, nights and weekends, and benefits eligibility on day one of full-time hire.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no employment gaps greater than 6 months in past 36 months.
• Applicants must be available for an in person interview.
• Internal candidates will receive priority consideration.

Responsibilities

• Inspect chicks in hatchers to assess quality and fitness for processing.
• Pull chicks and place in boxes for processing; dispose of substandard chicks.
• Sanitize trays and hatchery equipment; clean and disinfect setters and hatchers.
• Operate chick counter and box washer; monitor temperatures and maintain clean work area.
• Follow all safety policies, biosecurity guidelines, and PPE requirements.
