Compensation

$18.58 - $20.42 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

This role will be responsible for the general overall maintenance of the facilities and automation equipment utilized in the poult hatching process under the direction of the Hatchery Maintenance Supervisor.

Minimum Skills Required

• General knowledge of machinery and the diagnostics to repair broken machinery.
• Ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment including, but not limited to, a forklift, welding equipment, electric drill, electric meter, wrenches and screwdrivers.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to follow and adhere to the manager’s company policies and regulations for bio‑security, animal welfare, and safety.
• Must exhibit safe work habits and use of safety equipment and PPE when necessary.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial maintenance experience is a plus but not required.
• Must have a strong attendance record and punctuality.
• Commitment to teamwork and consistent performance.
• Must have good hand‑eye coordination.
• Must be in good physical condition, as this role involves constant movement and occasional lifting of heavy objects and maneuvering heavy machinery up to 60 lbs.
• The work environment includes exposure to dust, chemicals, fumes, extreme weather conditions, and live animals.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license; may be asked to procure materials for projects.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (E‑Verify participation).
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must pass a pre‑employment drug screening.
• Must pass a background check.

Hours

This position follows a 4‑day on/4‑day off schedule. Shift times are 6 pm–6 am. Training hours are 7 am–5 pm, Monday‑Friday. Flexibility with shifts is required, and the schedule may land on holidays, with holiday pay.
