Job summary

Koch Foods, Inc. is seeking a 1st shift hatchery worker to support day-to-day operations in a live-bird environment. You will follow safety and animal welfare policies while assisting with bird handling and production tasks.

The role involves lifting up to 10 lbs and pushing up to 75 lbs, and requires teamwork in a hot, dusty hatchery setting. On-the-job training is provided, with weekly pay and benefits. This position offers weekly pay and benefits including PTO, health coverage, a 401k plan,

Shift 1st Shift

Description Comfortable working with live birds. Maintain proper bird handling. Adhere to Company, Safety, and Animal Welfare policies and procedures. All other relevant duties as assigned.

Requirements Previous hatchery experience preferred. Able to lift 10 lbs, and push 75 lbs. Work well in a small team environment.

Physical Requirements

• Typical office environment within a hatchery utilizing computers, telephones and other office equipment.
• Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
• Subject to dusty and hot environments.
• Exposure to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
• Frequently stand 8 hours.
• Regularly exposed to heat conditions of 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Work around raw, live animal odors.
