Job summary
Monterey Wine Company is seeking a Seasonal Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance Team beginning September 2026 through the completion of the 2026 harvest season. This role supports harvest operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, fabricating, and installing winery production and facility equipment while promoting a safe work environment.
Preferred candidates have 3 years of winery/industrial maintenance experience, strong skills in mechanical/electrical systems,
Qualifications
- Three years of maintenance experience in winery, food & beverage, manufacturing, or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience with refrigeration/HVAC and welding/fabrication.
- Ability to read schematics and interpret electrical, mechanical, and plumbing diagrams.
- Proficient with reading/writing in English and safe work practices.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair cellar, production, and facility equipment.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Fabricate parts and install equipment.
- Read electrical, mechanical, and piping schematics.
- Support with repairs of PLCs, VFDs, and control panels.
- Ensure safe operations and compliance with safety policies.
- Work independently or with the maintenance team to support harvest.
