The job involves physically demanding, fast-paced work on the harvest floor, using knives, operating equipment, and ensuring cleanliness and food safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of harvest floor, slaughter, or meat processing experience preferred.
• Physically capable of standing, heavy lifting, and working in varied temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Perform all phases of the harvest process including stunning, bleeding, skinning, eviscerating, splitting, and trimming.
• Handle livestock humanely and in accordance with animal welfare requirements.
• Trim, wash, and weigh carcasses to meet quality and compliance standards.
• Maintain knife sharpness and keep harvest floor equipment in proper working condition.
• Keep workstations, walls, equipment, and the harvest floor clean and sanitized.
• Follow HACCP and food safety requirements.
• Support barn duties including weighing, feeding, and watering livestock as skills develop.
• Assist with general sanitation and end-of-shift cleanup procedures.
