Job summary

RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC is seeking a Harvest Floor Operator for our Mansfield, OH facility. The role involves processing beef, pork, lamb, and goat on a 1st shift schedule with pay ranging from $20 to $30 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities include performing all harvest steps, humane handling of livestock, and maintaining cleanliness and safety on the floor. Prior meat processing experience is preferred; strong work ethic and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of harvest floor, slaughter, or meat processing experience.
• Willingness to learn for candidates without direct experience.
• Physically able to stand, lift heavy items, and endure hot/cold/damp conditions.
• Knife skills or interest in developing them.
• English reading/writing ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform all harvest steps: stunning, bleeding, skinning, eviscerating, splitting, trimming.
• Handle livestock humanely per welfare requirements.
• Trim, wash, weigh carcasses to meet quality and compliance standards.
• Maintain knife sharpness and harvest floor equipment.
• Keep workstations, walls, and equipment clean and sanitized.
• Follow HACCP and food safety protocols without exception.
• Support barn duties: weighing, feeding, watering.
• Assist with sanitation and end-of-shift cleanup.
