The Advanced Effectors and Guidance Systems Department is searching for an Electrical Engineer II – Interconnect with experience in electrical interface types, connectors, harness development and interconnect schematics design. The focus of this role is to work with subsystem owners and develop an interconnect model. The interconnect model prescribes a system design and is used to inform cable design and electrical performance parameters. Interconnect models are used throughout a program’s lifecycle to capture the details of the design during development phase and later used for test validation of electrical parameters. Electrical Subsystem Interconnect Engineers collaborate with multiple subsystem responsible engineers, mechanical harness design teams, and work in conjunction with electronics system architects. We are seeking early career candidates willing to collaborate, innovate, and team with our engineers to generate and utilize today’s cutting‑edge technology to develop electrical subsystems.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Security clearance type: DoD Clearance: Secret. Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
Job responsibilities of this role vary but include activities such as developing interconnect models; including integration and validation of electronics; analysis of hardware designs; influencing architecture development/refinement; developing and documenting subsystem requirements and test plans; troubleshooting electronics in a lab or production environment, performing system and circuit level analysis, subsystem integration and test, supporting failure investigations, maintaining and creating documentation, and interacting with multi-discipline groups including suppliers.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD – 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
