Job summary

Boulder County Public Health Department seeks a Harm Reduction Specialist for the Works Program. The role delivers syringe access services, rapid HIV and hepatitis C testing, and comprehensive harm reduction education, including naloxone-based overdose prevention.

Responsibilities include safer use supply distribution, test strip access, wound care support, referrals to treatment and social services, and substance use risk reduction counseling across Boulder County.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of combined education and experience in or in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide syringe access, safer use supplies, harm reduction education, rapid HIV and hepatitis C testing, and referrals to treatment and social services.
• Deliver overdose prevention education, including naloxone-based training and distribution of supplies.
• Lead weekly outreach and coordinate with partners to extend services countywide.
• Assist with data entry, reporting, and program development; maintain confidentiality and accurate records.
