Job summary

Boulder County Public Health Department is hiring a Harm Reduction Specialist to deliver syringe access services, rapid HIV and hepatitis C testing, and harm reduction education across Boulder County. The role supports safer use, overdose prevention, and referrals to treatment and social services, with outreach across fixed sites and in the community.

The position operates primarily from the Longmont site (St. Vrain Hub) and requires residency in Colorado by start date.

Qualifications

• 6 years of combined education and experience in or a related field.
• Preferred: five years combined education and experience in harm reduction and public health services.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Provide syringe access including safer use supplies and wound care.
• Conduct HIV/Hepatitis C rapid testing and education.
• Deliver overdose prevention training and education to participants and the public.
• Perform weekly outreach at Boulder and Longmont locations and in the community.
• Maintain program data, reports, and participant referrals.
