SharkNinja, a global product design and technology company headquartered in Needham, MA, is offering a Spring 2027 HW UX/UI Design Co-op from January through June. You’ll work 40 hours per week onsite in Needham with some remote days, collaborating across hardware, software, and engineering teams to craft on-device UI and interaction flows.

You’ll build usable, beautiful experiences for our hardware products, conduct usability tests, and document interfaces and state diagrams for firmware teams.

Qualifications

• Education: Current student in a related bachelor’s or master’s program, or graduated within the past year.
• Ability to commit to full-time, 40 hours/week onsite in Needham, MA.
• Demonstrated design portfolio.
• User-centered mindset with passion for intuitive experiences.
• Proficient with design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma).
• Strong communication, both visual and verbal, with cross-functional teams.
• Detail oriented with big-picture focus.
• Eagerness to learn new tools, technologies, and processes.
• Interest in connected consumer products, smart home tech, or IoT (a plus).

Responsabilités

• Define end-to-end user experiences for HW products including on-device UI and feedback.
• Collaborate with industrial design, product, and engineering across design process.
• Conduct usability testing on prototypes and translate findings into design changes.
• Document UI layouts, state diagrams, and UI assets for firmware/engineering use.
• Deliver compelling, intuitive and delightful hardware UI experiences.
