Job summary

SharkNinja is seeking a HW UX/UI Design Co-op in Needham, MA, for January through June 2027. The role focuses on creating intuitive on-device UI and interaction flows for hardware products, collaborating with design, product, and engineering teams.

You will define interfaces, prototype, test, and document UI assets, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, supportive environment. Salary ranges are provided, with onsite five days per week and remote days as applicable.

Qualifications

• Education: current student in related program or recent graduate within the past year.
• Must work full-time, 40 hours/week, onsite in Needham, MA.
• Demonstrate a strong portfolio of design work.
• Apply a user-centered mindset for intuitive experiences.
• Use Adobe Creative Suite and Figma confidently.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Pay attention to detail while balancing the big picture user journey.
• Thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and be open to feedback.
• Interest in connected consumer products, smart home tech, or IoT is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end user experience and on-product interfaces for new HW products (UI, displays, feedback).
• Partner with industrial design on UI layout, control feel, labeling, and ergonomics.
• Work with product and engineering to deliver feasible, desirable experiences.
• Build and run usability testing on physical prototypes and implement findings.
• Document UI layouts, interaction specs, state diagrams, and UI assets for firmware/engineering teams.
