Job summary

US Tech Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager to support Hardware Design TPMs in driving engineering design deliverables, managing hardware component delivery, and creating development schedules. The role requires experience with design for manufacturing and supplier engagement across ODM/JDM/CM models.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, planning expertise, and a track record of coordinating multi-team efforts in consumer electronics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years as a technology development program manager in consumer electronics.
• Experience working with overseas suppliers of hardware components.
• familiarity with ODM, JDM, and CM vendor engagement models.
• Knowledge of phase gate approach to technology development programs.
• Experience in mechanical system development, design for manufacturing, tooling, validation, and characterization processes.
• Adept at communicating, planning, with high level of detail.
• Experience operating across multiple teams and programs.

Responsibilities

• Support Hardware Design TPMs in coordinating and driving engineering design deliverables, including specifications, DOE, and validation plans.
• Manage delivery of hardware components for development builds and drive qualification to meet mass production timelines.
• Create development, delivery, and qualification schedules based on system requirements, technical challenges, lead-times, and business needs.
• Manage program structure to optimize clarity and efficiency for program teams and leadership.
• Communicate program statuses, identifying potential setbacks, including vendor tooling schedules and design sprints.
• Manage communication within and between internal cross-functional and external partners.
• Ensure program documents are complete, current, and available for staff and leadership review.
