Centraprise is seeking a Hardware Technical Program Manager in Mountain View, CA for onsite work with occasional travel to supplier and CM sites (~10%). The role focuses on hardware program management, supplier quality, and coordinating across engineering, quality, and operations to ensure timely delivery.

The candidate should have 2+ years in hardware/PCBAs within automotive environments and be able to work independently while communicating clearly and documenting results in Jira/Buganizer

Job title: Hardware Technical Program Manager

Job Location: Mountain View, CA - Onsite (Onsite and travel to supplier and Contract manufacturer (CM) sites as needed (~10%) to supplier and CM sites.)

Job Description:

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

  • Seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) with a solid background in managing hardware programs, supplier quality, and supply chain operations. Prior experience working in hardware companies managing operations, supply chain, supplier coordination and able to work independently.
  • 2+ years of equivalent practical experience in an automotive lab or technical support environment supporting Hardware, PCBAs etc., both at a component level technologies and stakeholder perception, is essential, as this role involves navigating complex supplier relationships and ensuring alignment across engineering, quality, and operations teams.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record in technical project management with the ability to provide end-to-end ownership of complex module schedules.
  • Exceptional project management skills with a meticulous attention to detail to ensure comprehensive oversight and execution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to concisely document technical findings in tickets (e.g., Buganizer/Jira) and reports.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automotive TIER1 or OEM component evaluation processes and facilities.
  • Understanding of major automotive manufacturing processes such as design for manufacturing or design for assembly
  • To be the primary point of contact for hardware supply chain projects, from component sourcing through delivery, in low-volume, high-complexity builds.
  • Organize design validation across customer and suppliers (HW DVP dashboard).
  • Facilitate internal requirements and verification, including software alignment for key perception milestones requiring vehicle-level testing.

Configuration & Change Management:

  • Manage component change control process (CCB).
  • Track Prototype, Engineering Vehicle Testing and Production Configurations throughout the vehicle development life cycle.
  • Document issues and track them to closure.
  • Support trade studies to help drive decisions and balance competing requirements.
  • Assist in identifying "gaps" between subsystems to ensure they are understood and covered by tests.
  • Be flexible to work odd hours for supporting overseas CMs at times such as early mornings or late evenings.
  • Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams to track hardware development schedules and resolve cross-functional blockers.
  • Collaborate with Engineering change management teams for revision updates to documentation etc.,
  • Navigate ambiguity in fast-paced environments by taking high-level objectives and independently defining the steps to execute.
