Job summary

Productive Resources is seeking a Hardware Systems Engineer to join our engineering team at our East Moline, IL facility. The role involves mechanical design for Sentera sensors and hardware, planning integrations for new UAS platforms, and extensive testing.

You will collaborate in a team, contribute to design reviews, and support documentation. The position offers growth opportunities within our organization, with a full-time, permanent role and a focus on delivering robust engineering

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
• Proficient in CAD (minimum of 1 year experience, PTC Creo preferred).
• FAA Part 107 certification acquired within three months of employment.
• Experience with Pixhawk autopilots (PX4 & Ardupilot).
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to interpret requirements independently.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Highly motivated.
• Ability to work constructively within a team.
• Exceptional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design of components for Sentera sensors and hardware.
• Planning and execution of Sentera sensor and hardware integrations for new UAS platforms.
• Maintenance of existing Sentera sensor integrations.
• Planning and execution of Sentera hardware integrations for UAS platforms.
• UAS flight testing.
• Wire harness design, fabrication, and documentation.
• Internal engineering and production documentation creation & maintenance.
• User facing documentation creation & maintenance.
• Level 2 engineering support.
• Hardware and software compatibility testing of Sentera sensors, UAS platforms, and 3rd party post processing software.
• Creation and maintenance of engineering drawings and bill of materials.
