Job summary

Aditi Consulting is seeking a Hardware Systems Engineer to integrate Sentera sensors onto UAS platforms. The role requires mechanical design, UAS instrumentation, and rigorous hardware testing to ensure reliability and user success.

You will plan integration schedules, develop mechanical designs, and validate hardware with flight tests. Strong communication, attention to detail, and teamwork are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficient CAD experience (1+ year; Creo preferred).
• FAA Part 107 certification within 3 months of employment.
• Experience with UAS platforms (preferred).
• Pixhawk PX4/ArduPilot experience preferred.
• MAVLink experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design of components for Sentera sensors and hardware.
• Plan and execute sensor and hardware integrations for new UAS platforms.
• Maintain existing Sentera sensor integrations.
• Perform UAS flight testing.
• Create and maintain engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Test hardware and software compatibility of Sentera components with UAS and 3rd party software.

Payrate: $43.92 - $43.92 /hour.

Summary: The Hardware Systems Engineer is responsible for the integration of Sentera sensors and hardware onto UAS (unmanned aerial systems) platforms. This position requires experience in systems engineering practices, mechanical design, UAS instrumentation, hardware testing/validation, as well as exceptional organization, attention to detail, and dedication to user success. The individual will support integration schedule planning and execution, mechanical design, and hardware product validation & testing. Responsibilities also include flight testing, creating internal and external facing product documentation, and level 2 engineering support.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design of components related to Sentera sensors and hardware.
• Planning and execution of Sentera sensor and hardware integrations for new UAS platforms.
• Maintenance of existing Sentera sensor integrations.
• Planning and execution of Sentera hardware integrations for UAS platforms.
• UAS flight testing.
• Wire harness design, fabrication, and documentation.
• Internal engineering and production documentation creation & maintenance.
• Hardware and software compatibility testing of Sentera sensors, UAS platforms, and 3rd party post processing software.
• Creation and maintenance of engineering drawings and bill of materials.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
• Proficient in CAD (minimum of 1 year experience, PTC Creo preferred).
• FAA Part 107 certification acquired within three months of employment.
• Experience with UAS (drones) platforms (preferred).
• Experience with Pixhawk autopilots (PX4 & Ardupilot).
• Experience with MAVlink (preferred).
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to interpret requirements independently.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Skills

• Change management facilitation regarding documentation between engineering staff and production staff.
• Will become a point of contact between Sentera engineering teams and technology partner engineering teams.
• Will help create product improvement and sustainment criteria.
• Will be a subject matter expert on Sentera sensors and hardware, their functions, and their applications.

Pay Transparency

The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $43.92 - $43.92/hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
