Job summary

Productive Resources is seeking a mechanical engineer to design components for Sentera sensors and hardware, and to coordinate sensor integrations for new UAS platforms at our East Moline facility. You will participate in design reviews, create drawings, and support production documentation.

Responsibilities include flight testing, wire harness work, and ensuring compatibility between sensors, platforms, and third-party software.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficient in CAD; Creo preferred.
• FAA Part 107 certification acquired within three months of employment.
• Experience with Pixhawk autopilots (PX4 & Ardupilot).
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to interpret requirements independently.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and motivation.
• Ability to work constructively within a team.
• Exceptional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design of components related to Sentera sensors and hardware.
• Planning and execution of Sentera sensor and hardware integrations for new UAS platforms.
• Maintenance of existing Sentera sensor integrations.
• Planning and execution of Sentera hardware integrations for UAS platforms.
• UAS flight testing.
• Wire harness design, fabrication, and documentation.
• Engineering and production documentation creation & maintenance.
• Hardware and software compatibility testing of Sentera sensors, UAS platforms, and 3rd party post processing software.
• Creation and maintenance of engineering drawings and bill of materials.
