Job summary

Frattallone’s Hardware on Grand Ave in St. Paul is seeking an Assistant Store Manager who can lead from the front, energize the team, and deliver proactive customer service. This hands-on leadership role supports the Store Manager and keeps the store operating smoothly during peak times.

You’ll oversee daily store operations, inventory, merchandising, hiring, training, and development of associates, while building relationships with customers and the local Grand Ave community.

• Must demonstrate leadership and the ability to motivate a team.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team and help create a positive, high-energy store culture.
• Deliver proactive customer service and ensure the team does the same.
• Help drive sales, profitability, and store goals.
• Keep the sales floor organized, stocked, and merchandised to standards.
• Oversee receiving, deliveries, inventory, safety, and day-to-day store operations.
• Support and develop associates through coaching, training, and feedback.
• Recruit, select, onboard, and train new team members.
• Build relationships with retail and commercial customers and grow the business.
• Understand the Grand Ave market and community needs.
