Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to fortify hardware and software across devices such as Fire TV, Eero, Alexa, and Ring. You will review designs and code, perform security testing, and drive secure development from threat modeling to fuzzing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of work in identifying security issues and risks, and developing mitigation plans experience.
• 4+ years of scripting, programming, and security code review in common programming languages.
• Knowledge of hardware security mechanisms, including secure boot, trusted execution environments.
• Semiconductor reverse engineering.
• Knowledge of operating system internals, with emphasis on Linux and common RTOS environments.

Responsibilities

• Guide secure development of devices from security design to code reviews, testing and fuzzing.
• Develop tools and techniques to improve security posture at scale.
• Provide technical security expertise to device product teams.
• Identify security risks and work with engineers to create mitigations.
• Develop new security policies and procedures.
• Promote security awareness and training across teams.
• Participate in projects developing new intellectual property.
