Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to join our Hardware Security team. You will build and own security-focused software solutions protecting AWS hardware, supply chain, and infrastructure at scale.

The role requires leadership in design/architecture, strong coding skills, and mentorship of teammates. We offer a diverse, inclusive culture with flexible work hours and a focus on security excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain tools for firmware analysis, security testing, and vulnerability assessment
• Design and develop security applications to protect AWS hardware and firmware
• Architect scalable, automated, tools for security assessment and compliance
• Collaborate with and mentor team members while making autonomous technical decisions
