Job summary

Motive is seeking a Security Engineer, Hardware Security to partner with Engineering and Hardware teams in designing secure devices. You will build a scalable secure-by-default baseline across boot, firmware, FOTA, and manufacturing, guiding remediation and risk management across the product lifecycle.

The role emphasizes design, automation, and enablement, with cross-team influence and a focus on cloud-connected environments and IoT security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Hardware Security and secure-by-design patterns.
• Experience working with product teams to specify security requirements.
• Hands-on development in Python and C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware security architecture reviews and threat modeling.
• Define security requirements for embedded platforms and firmware.
• Drive end-to-end security for devices from design to deployment.
