Job summary

Medtronic plc is seeking a Senior Product Security Engineer – Embedded IoT to architect security for implantable and connected medical-device platforms. The role emphasizes Security-by-Design, secure boot, key management and SBOM across hardware, firmware & communications.

You will lead threat modeling, risk analysis and security verification to ensure regulatory compliance and robust product security throughout the lifecycle of advanced neuromodulation and pelvic health devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 2+ years in related field.
• Extensive embedded security, IoT security, firmware, connected devices, or medical-device development.

Responsibilities

• Define Security-by-Design architecture for implantable devices, controllers, gateways and connected environments.
• Lead threat modeling and Security Risk Analysis across device lifecycle.
• Define secure communication, firmware update, provisioning and SBOM requirements.
• Support regulatory submissions and compliance with medical-device cybersecurity standards.
