Job summary

Motive is seeking a Security Engineer, Hardware Security to join the Product Security Team. You will partner with Hardware and Engineering to design secure-by-default components and perform threat modeling across devices.

This role emphasizes boot chains, firmware, FOTA, and secure provisioning, with emphasis on scalable security programs and automation.

You will influence architecture, lead security reviews, and help extend cloud and IoT security across Motive’s product stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hardware security experience
• Hands-on development in Python or C/C++
• Experience designing security controls for hardware/embedded systems

Responsibilities

• Build hardware security baseline across Motive devices (boot chain, firmware, FOTA)
• Lead security architecture reviews and threat modeling for product systems
• Drive end-to-end security across IoT and cloud security infrastructure
• Define security requirements for hardware platforms and embedded interfaces
• Collaborate with hardware engineering to prioritize findings and remediations
• Influence security programs through design, automation, and enablement
