Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking a Hardware Failure Analysis Engineer to own firmware and hardware diagnostics in our Memphis data center. You will review firmware packages, assess hardware specs, manage RMA processes, and work with vendors to ensure reliable, secure deployments.

This role requires deep technical expertise and hands-on problem solving. You will collaborate with operations technicians, develop monitoring tools, perform failure analysis, and document RCAs and reliability models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 2+ years hardware reliability engineering experience in data centers or HPC.
• Experience with firmware analysis, release validation, and hardware specs review.
• Familiarity with RMA processes, vendor negotiations, and escalation.
• Ability to diagnose complex hardware failures using diagnostics tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze firmware packages and hardware specs for compatibility and reliability in data-center environments.
• Investigate and diagnose hardware failures, including intermittent issues, with rigorous testing.
• Manage vendor relationships and file RMA claims, negotiating resolutions.
• Collaborate with data center technicians to troubleshoot and repair hardware.
• Develop monitoring tools and scripts to detect hardware anomalies early.
