Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Electrical Engineer in the Starlink hardware reliability team to ensure robust designs across high-volume production and field returns. You will analyze failures, perform root-cause investigations, and implement design or process changes to improve reliability across diverse devices.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s in EE and 1+ year experience with test equipment, PCBA manufacturing, and RF/digital systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, or computer engineering.
• 1+ years experience with digital or mixed-signal designs, using oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, and/or soldering equipment (incl. internships).
• Experience with PCBA manufacturing processes and assembly such as SMT reflow, wave solder, and selective solder.

Responsibilities

• Own qualification and test of new electrical designs and SMT manufacturing lines for high volume production.
• Perform hands‑on debugging to drive to root cause and corrective action of failed phased‑array antenna, Wi‑Fi router, power supply PCAs, and cables.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to root cause electronics and develop repair actions.
• Drive design and process changes to improve reliability based on test, production, or field failures.
• Document failure modes and use data to continually improve reliability.
