Job summary

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer- Hardware Development to support TGCS Staging Services for POS hardware and OEM products. The role includes creating cost-effective staging quotes, releasing BOMs/ECs, defining routing, coordinating pilot builds, and ensuring QA via FAI and packaging validation.

The position is based at our Research Triangle Park, NC location with responsibilities spanning from quoting to final packaging and documentation improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or 8+ years of relevant experience in hardware QA.
• Ability to interpret and validate customer-supplied documentation (images, test plans).
• Knowledge of packaging customization and logistics; ability to develop cost-efficient quotes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit staging quotes based on customer requirements and product specs.
• Create and release ECs and BOMs tailored to staging configurations.
• Develop customized routing documents including product specs and assembly steps.
• Validate the LBI process and oversee pilot runs; approve FAI results.
• Design and approve packaging solutions meeting functional and customer needs.
